I had great time with my uncle during the summer time when I was younger. I enjoyed him being straight and forward about things in life. I enjoyed fish fries at the home.
This day, Wednesday, November 19th, 2014, I offer a lighted Candle, and written verse, to honor the Life, and mourn the loss, of a Great Man who I was privileged to have met and known, Carroll Newton.
A Life is lived,
A Candle burns,
The Light from both
Too quickly fades.
But a Candle can be rekindled,
And a Life can be remembered,
And so it is that the Light of both
Can be Reborn.
The Candle as a glimmering Memorial,
And the Life within the flash and glitter
Of our Memories.

Uncle Carroll will be missed. One of my early memories is when he and Aunt Edith came down to look at a tree in Russ Forest / Newton Woods and I was amazed at how much he knew about everything. I liked listening to him talk and will always treasure the family times spent with him and Edith and all of the kids.
