Mrs. Dorla L. Meehan, age 71, of Nashville passed away Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 at McLaren-Greater Lansing Hospital.

Dorla was born in Hillsdale, MI on September 22, 1940, the daughter of the late Ross and Alberta (Shifler) Spahr. She was raised in the Hillsdale area and attended local schools graduating from North Adams High School in 1958.

She was married to Mr. Allan L. Myers and had three children from that union before the couple divorced. On July 5, 1969 she married Mr. Jerome Meehan and they were married for over 43 years. Over the years she rarely missed an opportunity to volunteer for her children's events, including Cub Scouts & Girl Scouts, Band Boosters and even attending band camp.

Dorla enjoyed reading the Bible, bowling, playing cards, watching birds and doing crossword puzzles. She cherished her relationships with friends and family, and loved to socialize.

On November 16, 1949 Dorla accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. On May 22, 1972 she rededicated her life to Christ. Every Sunday, along with her husband Jerome, the couple would watch Rev. Hagee on television together.

Dorla is survived by her beloved husband Jerome, three daughters, Loretta (Mike) Zumbaugh, Monique (Jay) Scott, Jone (Keith) Metz, two sons Allan Meehan, Ross (Anne) Meehan, a sister, Sandy (Bill) Tait, three brothers, Norman (Glenna) Spahr, Robert "Bob" (Rose) Spahr, Michael “Mike” (Kim) Spahr.
