Obituary for Ronald Prucha
Ronald Charles Prucha, age 79, died in his home surrounded by loved ones in Hastings, MI on Saturday May 6, 2023.
Born May 10, 1943 in Grand Haven, MI ( to Charles and Mildred (Suma)Prucha. He graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1961. Following high school, Ron attended Michigan State University graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in 1965. Later in life, while working for Pfizer Ron went back to school at Nazareth College in Kalamazoo, MI graduating with his Master’s in Management.
Ron retired from Pfizer in 2004. In retirement he enjoyed working outdoors, traveling and was an avid hobby train enthusiast – American Flyer trains. He was an active member of the Iron Rails train club in Hastings, MI.
Ron is survived by his wife Sheila (Greenfield) Prucha. Children: Jim Prucha, Kim (Doug) Foster, Charles Prucha and Heather (Bill) Thomas. Grandchildren: Derek (Tiffany) Burandt, Adam Burandt, Brittany Mitchell, Jordan Sachs, and Justin Prucha….and 4 great grandchildren ( Hailey and Skyler Burandt and Maliya and Jayliana Mitchell).
A celebration of life will be set for later in the year.
Memorials may be given to Spectrum Health Foundation-Spectrum Hospice or the Barry County Commission on Aging.
