Obituary for Mark Wilkinson

Mark Allen Wilkinson passed away peacefully, with his wife and children by his side, on June 30, 2022.
He was born November 29, 1954, in Tecumseh Michigan and grew up in Dundee Michigan. Mark
attended Dundee Community School. He honorably served in the United States Army, 1972 to 1975. He
was stationed in Fort Riley Kansas for two years and one year in Germany. Mark retired from the State
of Michigan as a correctional officer at Ionia Maximum Security, in 1996.
In March 1972 Mark married his high school sweetheart, Darlene Maurer. Together they raised three
beautiful children, Hope (Doug), Mark, Devon (Scott). Mark loved school sports, especially wrestling and
even wrestled for the Army while in Germany. He enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and was an
avid reader. He believed it was important for a person to read as much as possible.
He is survived by his wife and children, 10 grandchildren, Nadia (Kalvin), Riley, Kyle, Ava, Alex, Ashley
(Zac), Adrionna, Landry, Nolan, Paige, and 3 great grandchildren, Payton, Rowan & Ryker. Mark is also
survived by his parents, Velma & Tony and five siblings, Dawn, Brian, Stacy (Mike), Vonda (Brian), & Shawn (Lisa), and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday July 21st 2022 at the Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville, MI.

Mark will be interred immediately following the celebration of life at Lakeview Cemetery in Nashville, MI with full military honors being provided by the United States Army and the American Legion Post 45 - Hastings, MI
