Obituary for Robin (Terpening) Thompson

Mrs. Robin Thompson, age 58, passed away on April 24, 2022 at Crockery Creek Elder Care Facility in Ravenna, MI.

Robin was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on November 19, 1963, the daughter of Judy (Bristol) & Jerry Terpening.

Robin was raised in the Nashville area and attended local schools, graduating from Maple Valley High School in 1983.  She continued her education at Lansing Community College where she studied Culinary Arts. During her senior year of high school Robin was honored by the VFW Post 8260 in Nashville at the annual "Voice of Democracy" Banquet where she wrote a piece of what democracy and freedom meant.

She is the wife of Mr. Mathew Thompson, the couple made their home together in the Grand Rapids area. In her spare time,

Robin enjoyed crocheting and enjoyed making quilts for her friends and family, and cross-stitch was another one of her specialties, along with creating her own patterns.  She also enjoyed doing cross word puzzles.

She is survived by her husband Mathew, her parents Judy & Jerry Terpening, her children Michael, Andrew, & David Terpening, her brother Bryon Terpening, sister Renee (Jerry) Edgecomb, and brother Eric Terpening.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother Dena Bristol, and grandparents Lloyd "Pat" and Dora Terpening, along with her Aunts Ida Mae Cummings, Francis Fair, JoAnn Terpening, Alta Rhoades and Uncle Howard Bristol.

Funeral services will held on Saturday, June 04, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasantview Family Church,  2791 Lacey Road, Dowling, MI. with pastor Steve Olmstead officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Immediately following the funeral service, friends and family are invited to continue sharing memories at a funeral luncheon in the fellowship hall at Pleasantview Family Church.

In lieu of flowers please free to make donations to the Barry County Animal Shelter or the Eaton County Animal Shelter.
