Obituary for Kipp Cushman
Mr. Kipp Cushman, Age 52 of Woodland, MI (formerly of Petoskey) passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2022 at his home in Woodland, MI.
Kipp was born in Flint, MI, on October 29, 1969, a son of Charlotte Krekel and Richard Cushman.
He was raised in the Petoskey area and attended local schools graduating from Petoskey High School. Following graduation, Kipp joined the United States Army. After completing his military career, he relocated to the Traverse City area for a few years, before accepting a position with MTC (Materials Testing Company) which brought Kipp and his family to Southwest Michigan.
Kipp spent the majority of his working career as a materials test technician with MTC, where he specialized in analyzing the density and structural integrity of commercial concrete. Some of his most notable projects included the Children’s Hospital, and the Lion exhibit at The John Ball Park Zoo.
Kipp was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed hunting. At least once per year Kipp would head to the Western United States to take part in several different big game hunts. During the summer months, get ready for the up coming hunting seasons. he also enjoyed spending days out on the lake fishing with his friends friends and coworkers.
He is survived by his sons Logan, & Josh Cushman, his brothers Dustin, Ryan and Kyle Cushman, sister Ashley Tillotson. His mother Charlotte Krekel and his father Richard (Pam) Cushman
