Obituary for William Fisk
Mr. William "Willy” Fisk, Age 81 of, Hastings, MI passed away on May 10, 2022 at Spectrum Health Pennock Hospital in Hastings.
Willy was born in Battle Creek, MI, February 23, 1941, a son of Thelma (Burkett) and Freeman Fisk.
He was raised in the Hastings area and attended Hastings Area Schools. Shortly after completing his education, he went to work at Buskirk Lumber in Freeport, MI. Willy spent most of his working career at Buskirk where he worked primarily outside sorting raw lumber before it went into the mill.
On October 10, 1970 he was married to Mickey Swan in Hastings, MI. Together they had three daughters before later divorcing.
Willy enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and listening to country music. He collected old record albums and enjoyed listening to them on his vintage turntable. During the summer months Willy loved to spend an afternoon fishing, wherever the "fish were biting". The most important thing to Willy was spending time with his beloved family.
Willy is survived by his three daughters Deana Travis, Shelley (Larry) DePriester, Tina Fisk, his sister Nancy (Hillis) Lepard, 6 grandchildren and special niece & nephew Deneen & Greg Lepard. He was preceded in death by sister Betty Miller, brother Buster Fisk and his parents.
