Obituary for Kathleen Waghorn
Kathleen Ann Waghorn, age 77, passed away peacefully December 9, 2020. She is survived by her husband Carl and her daughters, Katherine (Kevin) Timmerman and Sharon (Paul) Chesnutt. Her grandson, Brian Vincent and granddaughters, Megan Sue, Rachel Marie, and Erin Elizabeth. Her siblings Maureen MacVay and Dennis Hickman and sister-in-law Carol (Don) Webb. She had a special place in her heart for the grand pups Dixie, Solo, Harley and Blu.
Kathleen’s motto was work hard, play hard. She lived by that in everything she did. She was happiest working in the kitchen baking chocolate chip cookies, gingerbread boys, and pies with her family. She enjoyed camping with the family at Young State Park in Boyne City, and retiring upnorth. She always enjoyed the beauty of nature and loved being where she could see the deer and other wildlife while walking in the woods.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Sebastian Church, Byron Center, Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Noon. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior.
Interment will be at a later date at Oakwood Catholic Cemetery, Traverse City, Michigan.
