Obituary for Mildred Carrigan (Skinner)

Mildred “Millie” Carrigan (Skinner), age 93 of Nashville Michigan passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at home with Family at her side.
Millie was born in Grand Ledge Michigan on June 22, 1926 to Guy and Bertha Skinner. She attended country school and then graduated from Charlotte High School in 1943. After High School Millie was a telephone operator for Michigan Bell.
On December 24, 1946 she married Mr. Richard Carrigan from Charlotte Michigan after he returned home from WWII. The couple made their first home in Charlotte Michigan; In 1963 the couple bought their farm in Nashville Michigan where they raised their 4 children. Mildred enjoyed working around the home baking cookies and her famous apple pie, sewing, garage sales, fishing, singing in the choir, playing her piano and a fun day out at the casino. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Richard and Mildred attended and were members of Nashville Baptist Church for many years.
Millie is survived by her 4 children Daniel Carrigan, David (Christie) Carrigan, Jeanne Powell, and Lorna (Tom Brooke). Grand Children Jared (Bobbie)Carrigan, Sean Carrigan, Shilo Taylor, Joshua Huemme, Tommy (Dani) Brooke, Skyler (Michelle) Brooke, Douglas Carrigan, and Alexandra Carrigan. Great Grand Children China (Gabe) Shellenbarger, Cede (Colby) Wilcox, Stone (Casey) Carrigan, Arizona Carrigan, Bailey Dennis, Austin Carrigan, Cody Taylor, Truitt Brooke, Eden Brooke, Lincoln Brooke, Keenan Brooke, Treyton Brooke. Great~ great grand children Braelyn, Ellinor & Karter Wilcox and Noah, Quincy and Kobe Shellenbarger.
She is proceeded in death by her loving Husband of 71 years Richard Carrigan, 3 brothers Leland, Delos and Max Skinner and Granddaughter Angelya Carrigan.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Cornerstone Living Center of Hastings, Michigan.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville.
