Darlene Sixberry

Ms. Darlene Sixberry, age 75, of Nashville passed away Friday, March 20th, 2020 at Pennock Hospital, Hastings, MI.

Darlene was born in Hastings, MI on February 5, 1945, the daughter of the late George and Phyllis (Messimer) Lamie. Darlene attended Vermontville schools where she rode the bus with her siblings from the country. The family moved to Charlotte during her middle school years where she attended Charlotte Schools.

Darlene spent the majority of her working career employ at Owens-Illinois in Charlotte before retiring in 2010.

Darlene loved to spend time in her garden, and enjoyed canning the vegetables she grew. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting, do ceramics, and crocheting. She rarely kept the items she made, choosing instead to gave to family and friends as gifts. When she was young, Darlene enjoyed spending time with her siblings living on the farm, exploring rock piles, and picking flowers in the woods.

Each Monday night at 8 PM Darlene enjoyed talking to her twin sister Charlene on the telephone and also looked forward to getting together at the "Eaton Place" in Charlotte with her sisters and her nieces. Christmas was a cherished occasion when she could spend time with her extended family.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Mindy Caudil, son Corey Bozarth, two step daughters, Leana (Clayton) Swift, Myrna Burd, two step sons Troy (Sondra) Sixberry, Darren Sixberry, her twin sister Charlene Young, sister Joanne Lockwood.

preceded in death by her husband Manard in 2011 and her son Steven Bozarth, her brothers Dale and Richard Lamie, and her sister Linda Mathis,

Funeral Services will at The Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 25th.

Interment will take place privately at Wilcox Cemetery in Maple Grove Township.
