Marilyn Frye

Ms. Marilyn Frye, age 75, of Portage, formerly of Vermontville, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25th, 2019 at her home.

Marilyn was born in Grand Ledge, MI on May 30, 1944, the daughter of Charles and Shirley (Corwin) Imhoff.

She was raised in the Vermontville area and attended Vermontville High School, graduating in 1963. She continued her education at Kalamazoo Valley Community College where she studied Medical Coding and Billing. For many years, Marilyn worked as a receptionist in a local dental office before joining Perrigo where she worked for over 13 years, retiring in 2009.

Marilyn loved being outdoors, taking long walks, working in her garden and tending to her lawn. When her children were young, the family enjoyed their annual trips to Wilderness State Park on Mackinac Island. She was an avid golfer in the summer, and during the winter months she enjoyed bowling with her father Charlie. Marilyn loved her dogs and was especially fond of her beloved Chow "Bear".

Marilyn is survived by mother Shirley, daughters, Kelly (Dan Stout) Moore, Amy (Erik) Ostrow
son, Rick (Carla ) Moore, two sisters, Nancy (Wayne) Kent, Linda (Ed) Boldery, 7 grandchildren Travis, Casey, Hannah, Randie,Benjamin,Trevor & Kaylee, 3 great grandchildren Chloe, Carter & Colton, and three on the way!

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Imhoff.

A memorial service was held at the Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 3 PM on Tuesday, October 29th, with Pastor Erik Ostrow officiating.

The family received visitors on Tuesday from 1-3 PM at The Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville.

Interment will take place privately at Woodlawn Cemetery in Vermontville, MI.
