Bryon Armour

Mr. Bryon Armour, age 69, of Nashville passed away Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, in Grand Rapids, MI.

Bryon was born in Hastings, MI on May 16, 1950, the son of the late Alton and Evelyn (Manning) Armour.

Bryon was raised in the Hastings area and attended local schools graduating from Hastings High School in 1968. He continued his education by attending KCC where he studied Mechanical Drafting.

He was the husband of Norine (Silsbee) Armour. Bryon and Norine were introduced by her brother, and the family immediately fell in love with Bryon. On Feb. 14, 1970 The couple was married in Hastings, MI. They began their lives together in the Hastings area, but relocated to the Nashville are so their children could attend Maple Valley Schools.

Bryon was an extremely talented man who was always working on something. For over 19 years he was employed at Hastings Aluminum Products where he enjoyed operating the "slitter" machine which produced custom aluminum siding. When Aluminum products closed, he utilized his talents as a builder to construct custom homes in the Gun Lake area. After a short time, he began work at General Motors where he worked for over 12 before retiring. Bryon loved to keep busy, and during his retirement years he and his wife Norine began delivering Fire Engines for Spartan Motors. This new venture afforded them the opportunity to see many different places in the United States. He also enjoyed visiting flea markets where he would seek antique collectibles from the Armour Meat Company

Bryon is survived by his beloved wife Norine, his a daughter, Kori Armour, son Scott Armour, two sisters, Kathleen (Jeff) Brownell, Janice Lamie, two brothers, Ron (Mary) Armour, David (Cathy) Armour, Grandchildren Hayden Taylor, Izabelle Taylor, Caieya Cook, brother in-law Barney (Lori) Silsbee, and Mike (Bonnie) Silsbee.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM on Saturday, August 24th, at the Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville, with Deacon Scott Canfield officiating.

Following the memorial service, there will be time of fellowship from 5-7 PM at The Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville.
