Life Story for William Quick

William Frederick Quick

Mr. William (Bill) Frederick Quick, age 72, of Nashville passed away Monday, June 10th, 2019 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence with his family by his side.

Bill was born in Battle Creek, MI on May 25, 1947, the son of the late Francis and Roberta (Gulley) Quick. He spent his early childhood in East Leroy then moving to the Nashville area, and received his GED from Maple Valley Schools.

He was married to Birgit (Wilke) Quick August 21, 1976 in Battle Creek. They made their home together in the Nashville area where they raised their family together. The couple shared 25 years together.

Bill worked as the Lead Mechanic in the bus garage at Maple Valley Schools for 25 years, retiring in 2004.

In his free time, Bill enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, watching old Westerns, and laughing and joking with his family. He especially enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren Alaina, Logan, Brinna, and Noah. He was looking forward to becoming a great-grandpa in August as well.

Bill is survived by his two daughters, Justine Lucas, Monelle (Darren) Cobb, his son William (Christina) Quick, a sister, Joy Deitrick, two brothers, Terry & Kirk Quick, 13 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter on the way, his ex-wife Birgit Dospoy and his special friend Virginia Schofield.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday June 13th, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville.

Memorial contribution can be made to Glen Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek, or the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan
