Mr. Dennis Franklin, age 53, of Hastings passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at his home.
Dennis was born in Howell, MI on October 2, 1965, the son of the late Harold and June (Gearhart) Franklin. His early childhood was spent in the Fowlerville area where he attended local schools. The family relocated to the Nashville area where Dennis attended Maple Valley High School. Dennis also joined the United States Army.
Dennis had a passion for antiques. He loved attending auction sales and enjoyed buying and selling antiques. He was especially fond of historical pedal cars and tractors. Dennis loved to talk and visit with friends and neighbors, and his sense of humor always brought a special aspect to the conversation. Through the years, Dennis has worked at several restaurants in the Hastings area and has developed many friendships, in which he truly treasured.
He is survived by his brothers, David (Darla) Franklin and Doug (Jody) Franklin.
A Memorial Service celebrating Dennis' life will be held at The Nashville Church of the Nazarene, Nashville, MI, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 23rd.
There will be a time of fellowship and luncheon immediately following the funeral service at the Nashville Church of the Nazarene Fellowship Hall.
Interment will take place privately.
