Joyce Gardner

Mrs. Joyce Gardner, age 70, of Nashville was reunited on March 30th, 2016 with her husband Terry, her son Gordon, and her daughter Jackie. What a glorious day for her! Joyce was born in Hastings, MI on October 3, 1945, the daughter of the late Henry and Johanna Woudstra. Terry and Joyce were married on June 8, 1963 at the Nashville Church of the Nazarene. They made their home together in the Nashville area where they raised their three children. Terry and Joyce built their world around their children and grandchildren. Joyce also enjoyed crafting and decorating and shared this passion with her sisters. Joyce was happiest, and most fulfilled when she was giving to others. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Lori (Lynn) Denton. Her sisters Judy (Art) Headlee, Janice Woudstra, and Jolene Woudstra. Her beloved grandchildren Jonathan (Stacey) Denton, Jenna (Tyrone) Burkes, Jordan, & Jonah Denton, & Jacob Vermetti, son in-law Joe Vermetti, great grandchildren Braden, Maddyson, Kaleb, Logan, Mackenzie and Haylee Denton, Kayson Burkes, Donald and Emma Vermetti. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Terry, her son Gordon and her daughter Jackie. A Memorial Service Celebrating Joyce’s life will be held at Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville MI, at 12:00 noon on Monday April 4th, 2016 with her beloved cousin Tom Woudstra officiating. The family will receive visitors on Monday April 4th , 2016 beginning at 10:30 a.m. until service time at The Daniels Funeral in Nashville. Memorial contributions can be made to the Maple Valley Scholarship Fund.
