My family is saddened to hear of your loss and we offer you our condolences. We became acquainted with your father/grandfather, Wendall at Thornapple Manor as he and my dad lived in the same neighborhood. Wendall always had a way to brighten my day with his smile and happy greeting each day when I arrived. He had a heart of gold, a positive attitude and was such a fun man to be around. I will always remember what a comfort Wendall was to my mother and me the night my father (Clyde Zeigler) passed in March. Even while dealing with his own grief/recent loss he offered such comfort. As my father's body was leaving the manor for the last time, I was so touched to see Wendall stop, remove his cap and show respect from one veteran to another. I know your hearts are heavy with grief now but I hope you are comforted by the special man that he was and how he touched others during his journey here on Earth. God bless you all.
