Life Story for Richard Fox Jr.

Richard Fox Jr.

Mr. Richard Fox Jr., age 79, of Dowling passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 6th, 2018 at his home with his family by his side

Richard was born in Cookeville, TN on March 19, 1939, the son of the late Richard and Jewel (Burgess) Fox. He was raised in Tennessee , attended their local schools,then moved to MI graduating from Marshall High School in 1957.

He was the husband of Sharon (Binney) Fox. Richard and Sharon were introduced through their pastor, and in 1962 the couple was married in Grand Rapids MI. Richard was employed at Bosker Brick in Battle Creek, MI, and the couple began their life together making their home in the Battle Creek area. In 1971, they moved the family to their home in Dowling where they raised their family.

Throughout the years, Richard held several positions with Bosker Brick, and completed his working career in the Sales Department. In 2006 Richard formally retired after over 40 years with the company.

Richard enjoyed being outdoors fishing during the summer months, and hunting deer with his Sharon in fall, camping, Camping with the family was always a highlight, spending & enjoying each others company around a campfire. Each year the family would travel to several destinations including Bristol Indiana, Canada, and Northern Michigan to take in the fall colors.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife Sharon, two daughters, Kim (Jim) Eaton, Kristine Fox, two nephews Edward Williams, Jerald Williams, 4 grandchildren Kayla (Beau) Fox-Reeser, Brittney (Adam) Cook, Jessica Eaton, Kortney Brown, 3 great grandchildren Bryce Robins, and Kaleesya Reeser, Briaunna Cook, Amanda (Robert) Ireland and their daughter Amarionna.

Funeral Services will be held at The Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 9th, with Matt Moser officiating. There will be a time of fellowship and luncheon immediately following the funeral service at the Hastings Baptist Church of Hastings.

Interment will take place prior to the funeral service at beginning at 11:30 AM Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Hastings Baptist Church of Hastings.
