Deloris Crilly

Mrs. Deloris Crilly, age 76, of Maple Grove Township passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Monday January 8, 2018. Deloris was born in Burr Oak, Michigan, on July 11, 1941, the daughter of the late Earl and Barbara (Patterson) Hunt. She was raised in the Sturgis, MI and attended local schools graduating from Burr Oak High School. She continued her education in Elkhart, Indiana where she studied to pursue a career as a Dental Assistant. She was the wife of Mr. Nyle Crilly. The couple was married on November 17, 1960 in Burr Oak, Michigan. They began their lives together in the Olivet area, later settling in Kalamo Township where they farmed and raised their children together. Along with her husband and family Deloris enjoyed camping throughout Michigan and The Upper Peninsula. Her favorite place to visit was Tennessee and the Smokey Mountains. She was an extremely talented craft artist creating exquisite miniature villages,making Christmas crafts. She enjoyed stamp collecting, frog décor collecting and salt collected salt & pepper shakers for many years. Deloris is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Nyle. Her children, Denise VanZandt (Mark Byers), Mike Crilly and Deb (Mark) Bomer; Grandchildren, Ryan (Takytha), Kari (Tim), Amanda (Scott), Katie (Nick), Holly, Heather (Jeff), Sami (Danny), Dani (Aaron); and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at The Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 1 PM on Friday, January 12th, with pastor Steve Olmstead officiating. The family will receive visitors on Thursday January 11, 2018 from 6-8 PM at The Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville.
Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Hillside Cemetery in Kalamo, MI. Memorial contributions can be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
