Life Story for Judith Raffler (Stadel)

Judith A. Raffler

HASTINGS, MI - Judith A. Raffler, age 80, of Hastings, MI passed away on December 28th, 2017 at her home.

Judith was born in Grand Rapids, MI on March 5th, 1937. Harley and Ruth Stadel of Lake Odessa, adopted her into their home as a young child. She attended Lake Odessa Schools. Judy married Larry Raffler on July 1st, 1954 in Woodland, MI. He passed away in 2014. They had four children, Greggory (Annette) Raffler of Clarksville, MI, Patrick (Sali) Raffler of Pearland, TX, Karen (Philip) Schlachter of Pearland, TX, and Sandra Gilbert of Hastings, MI. Six grandchildren: Kristen (Brandon) Cook, Karey (Peter) Klemm, Christopher Gilbert, Kimberly (Cody) Heuker, Brittany (Brett) McGill, and Katelyn Raffler. Seven great grandchildren: Caden, Tate and Kinley Cook, Ezra and Kylie Klemm, Karly Heuker, and Mason McGill.

Judy worked at Big Boy in Hastings for many years and also worked as a dog groomer. She was involved with her children's activities including cub scouts and 4-H. She enjoyed her flower gardens and camping in the Lake County area. Judy attended the Zion Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM on Thursday June 7, 2018. A luncheon will be served immediately following the memorial service at the Zion Lutheran Church, followed by the interment which will take place at Woodland Memorial Park.
