Denise Welch

Mrs. Denise Welch, age 57, of Nashville passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 at her home. Denise was born in Hastings, MI on April 19, 1960, the daughter of the late Kenneth Scott and Lorraine (Goforth) Altoft. She was raised in the Nashville/Hastings area and attended schools.She was the wife of Mr. Philip "Joe" Welch. The couple was married on February 10, 1984 and made their home together in the Thornapple Lake area. Denise & Joe were inseparable, they sincerely enjoyed every moment they had together. Denise enjoyed spending time on Thornapple Lake riding on the pontoon boat, being outdoors working in her yard planting flowers, and spending time with her family and many friends. Her family was always her first priority, and she truly cherished the time she spent with them; most recently, she and Joe were able to take a wonderful trip to California Denise is survived by her loving husband, Joe, her parents, Lorraine and Lester Altoft, three daughters, Jamica Sottillie (Randy Schreiner), Jessica Darling (Dave Lorichon), Janelle Sottillie, her son, Phillip J. (Nicole) Welch, Three sisters, Christine (Michael) Horstman, Deb (Joe) Sprague, Angie (Kent) Miller, her brother, Adam Altoft, grandchildren, Cj, Austen, Kyilar, Jeremy, Andrew, Paige, Jaden, Jayla and Tate and 3 great grandchildren, Bradley, Lennon and Gracelyn. She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Scott.Funeral services will be held at The Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 23rd, with Pastor Randall Bertrand officiating. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 5-7 PM at The Daniels Funeral Home.
