Condolence: It has been a couple of years since I last golfed with Al though his association with Doug Newington. He was always funny with a quick joke and good humour. His golf game was pretty good to. I will miss him on the links and at G-A Schools.
Condolence: I am honored to have known Al. He was board secretary for the Adult Handicap Program for a number of years. He made our board meetings fun. He was always quick with a joke and very knowledgeable. He enjoyed helping at program, whether it serving as DJ or popping popcorn on movie nights, he loved being around our group. I only got to know Al for 5 short years and I wish I could have known him for many more. My condolences to his wife, Cathy and his family. Rest in peace my friend.
Condolence: Al was my principal at Eaton. I so enjoyed talking to him in the hallway as he lifted me up in faith after my sister died. You will be missed. Condolences for the family.
Condolence: Al was a joyous person and I am glad I got to know him years ago after a softball game in Kalamazoo. He loved music...but not ABBA's Dancing Queen :o). Al always had a story, joke or just a smile to share. I have many memories of drinks at Main St Pub with Al, joking around with others, playing pool, listening to the music on the jukebox. I visited Al quite a few times when he played in the bands supporting local plays. I also saw him in a live band at Sir Pizza once. I got the pleasure of meeting his wife, Cathy, at the Wall Lake cottage once. He enjoyed life and enjoyed helping people. He will be missed....RIP Al, we all love you!
