Life Story for Carl L. Olson

Carl Lyle Olson
August 22, 1977-July 29, 2015

Carl Lyle Olson, aka Cully, entered heavens golden gates July 29, 2015 surrounded by his loving family and friends. One can only assume while dreaming about his next football play that would win the game. The world may have suffered a loss but he gained a cancer free after life in the big house. He came into this world screaming on August 22, 1977 to Sharon J. Dunham-Olson and Carl R. Olson in St. Johns, Mi.
A graduate of Hastings High School class of 1995, he enjoyed band, wrestling, and of course football. He continued his love of the game with being active in coaching as well as a board member of HYAA over the past seven years. Carl enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and just plain tinkering. He had a love for his job as a mechanic as well as racing and building mud trucks .Carl enjoyed spending time with his family including every sporting event his children and niece were involved in. Carl was a believer in his faith and grew up as a member of Dowling Country Chapel UMC. He was a great pillar to his family and was a role model for many of the young lives in this community.
Carl is survived by his wife Shannon. Four children Kassidi and Keegan (Carl) Olson and Bret and Dylan Lawrence. Father Carl R. (Deb) Olson, Sister and Brother in law Bethany and Burnie Moore, niece Raelee (PEANUT) Olson, Half Sisters Ellen and Hannah Olson. Mother in Law Pat Miller (Bill Castle) and Father in Law Tom (Cindy) Miller. Brother in law and Sister in law Roy and Colleen Miller, nephews Jaxon and Mack. Brother in Law Tom Miller. Sister in law Michelle Miller and nephews Hunter and Easton. Uncle David (Kathie) Dunham, Aunt Debra Dunham, Uncle Thom Olson, and Aunt Robin Olson. Cousins Josh (Brandee) Dunham, Nick (Alainna) Dunham, and Trent (Janell) Dunham. As well as his beloved Dogs Moose, Menace, and D.O.G. And many many other family and friends. He was preceded in death his mother Sharon, Grandparents Lyle (Ruby) Duhham, and Carl (Beth) Olson.
Funeral Services will be held at The Country Chapel United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 1st, with Ryan Wieland officiating.
The family will receive visitors on Friday July 31, 2015 from 4-8 PM at The Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville. And again one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM until service time.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Treatment Center of America.
