Bernice M. Daniels

Mrs. Bernice M. Daniels, age 92, of Nashville passed away Monday, July 13th, 2015 at Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek, MI.

Bernice was born in Climax, MI on October 12, 1922, the daughter of the late Ernest and Norma (Dilsaver) Daniels. She was raised by her grandmother after her mother died unexpectedly when Bernice was just a toddler She attended East Leroy schools and later graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1941

She was the widow of Mr. Ransford Daniels. The couple was married August 5, 1942 in Waynesville MO while Ransford was serving in the military. The couple moved to their Maple Grove farm where they raised their family together

Shortly after she was married, Bernice worked at Kelloggs for a brief time, but Bernice's family was always her first priority, and she took great pride in caring for their needs. She enjoyed spending time working in the kitchen cooking and canning. Together with her husband and family, they enjoyed family vacations to the Western United States including Colorado and California. Bernice also loved to fish, but cane pole only! no fly rods!.

Bernice is survived by her son, Dale (Beverly) Daniels, daughter, Karen (Denis) Starr, son, Fred (Cathy) Daniels, a son-in-law, Roger Grable, sister Gracie (Frank) Thorpe ,11 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, and several neices and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Marie Grable who died in April of 2001, grandson Tony Thompson who died in August of 2005, brother Harold Root and sisters Bessie Bagnall and Fern McAllister.

Funeral Services will be held at The Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 11 AM on Friday, July 17th, with paster Karen Kinney officiating.

The family will receive visitors Thursday July 16th, from 4-8 PM at the Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville.

Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Monday July 20th, 2015

in Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Nashville United Methodist Church.
