Robert E. Oaster
He was born on April 19, 1928 and died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the age of 84.
He lived in the same home all of his married life on a small farm south of Nashville, MI for 64 ½ years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Oaster and his children, Becky Stark, Barb & Dave Dipert, John & Nilene Oaster, Nancy & Jeff Swift & Laurie & Bill Oster, 12 grandchildren & spouses, 30 great grandchildren, a brother, Roland & Marilyn Oaster, a sister, Mary Lee Terpening and numerous family & friends.
Preceding him in death are his father & mother (Cleon & Lena) a sister, Roberta, and granddaughter in law, Missy Stark.
He was employed by Post Cereal in Battle Creek,
E.W. Bliss in Hastings, and had his own livestock trucking business, He especially enjoyed the many years of farming with horses and his John Deere tractor. He spent time coon hunting and deer hunting.
He loved sharing stories with family & friends.
There will be a Memorial Service Open House on Saturday, February 9th from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Vermontville Bible Church located at 250 N. Main St.
