Gerald Raymond Lundstrum passed away due to complications from lung cancer on August 1st, 2012.

Gerald was born on June 30, 1922 to William Andrew Lundstrum and Ethel Mae Feighner in Vermontville, Michigan. He married the love of his life, Leola Dora Tidd (“Chubby”) on September 9, 1944 at the People’s Church in East Lansing.
Gerald will be remembered for his hard working attitude and his connection to the land. He loved observing nature and harvesting its bounty through hunting, fishing, trapping, cutting wood, farming, and gardening. Gerald was a 3rd generation maple syrup producer, and enjoyed spending springtime in the woods producing syrup. He was involved in the Vermontville Maple Syrup Festival since its founding. Gerald was an active member and leader in National Farming Organization (NFO) for many years. He was always willing to lend his insight, experience, and hard work with others.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters, Geraldine Babcock and Louise Baker and son in-law Richard Graham. He is survived by his wife Leola, children Clifford (Mary) Lundstrum and Vickie Graham, grandchildren Russell (Jenni) Lundstrum, Autumn (Darren) Bagley, Cynthia (Ian) Vissers, and 7 great grandchildren, Brandon and Emily Lundstrum, Lonna and Orion Bagley, and Jack, Sam, and Ryan Vissers. Gerald also loved members of his blended family, Jacqueline (David) Sandiford and Allison, Amanda and Molly Sandiford.

Gerald’s family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm at the funeral home on Saturday, with additional visitation preceding the service from 1pm to 2pm.
